2024/25 OPEN LETTER TO PARENTS OF YOUTHHOOPZ PARTICIPANTS
We tried our absolute best to create a basketball league with Geography, competition, and common sense for the Sidney elementary-aged hoopsters. In the end, we just could not find, convince, or strong-arm enough other programs who matched our vision. While we accomplished many, many good things we just could not provide enough variety of competition to challenge our kids.
4th – 6th Grades
In the 24-25 basketball season, the YouthHoopz.org with be merging with Dayton Metro to create Metro North for grades 4-6 boys and girls. Metro North will play all games within a few miles of I-70 and north.
Also, three and four team double headers are allowed upon agreement of opponents. On the downside, we have allotted two teams per age group per gender. This means we will cap our rosters somewhere between 16-20 players. We will place a team in Division Two and a team in D3 at each grade level.
